Southeast Servo can repair most servo motors within a matter of one or two days. We return most rush servo motor repairs within 24 hours after receipt. We have repaired many servo motors the same day that we have received it. Encoder repairs will normally extend the turnaround time by one to two days. We stock many encoders and resolvers to help us repair servo motors quickly and keep turnaround times to a minimum. Of course we can’t guarantee we can repair any servo motor that you might send. In an effort to match our service level to each of our customer's needs, we are defining the urgency level of our repair service to properly respond to the customer's needs while minimizing the cost of the repair to our customers.
1) Loss of Production Urgent Rush - This should be used in a customer machine breakdown situation where the repair needs to be back as soon as possible. We will take any action we deem necessary to repair the servo motor quickly including courier service for pickup and delivery, courier service to pick up non-stocked parts (special bearings), after hours charges for rewinding and machine work if necessary, after hours charges for technicians, next day air early AM charges for new or repaired encoders or resolvers, and after hours opening charges. All charges are considered to be preapproved.2) Rush - This status should be used when a customer needs the repair returned quickly (possibly for a backup) where the customer can spare a couple of days to have the servo motor repaired. We will determine what is wrong with the servo motor. We will work on the servo motor during business hours to insure needed parts are ordered and shipped for next day delivery. The rush repair will continue to be considered urgent during business hours until the parts arrive. Every effort will be made to repair
and test the servo motor by the close of business that day. If the repair cannot be finished that day, the repair will continue during normal business hours on the following day. After "run in", (unless stipulated otherwise) a quote will be faxed to the customer for his/her approval . Work will not begin nor parts ordered until we receive an approval for the estimated charges.
3) Expedited Delivery - When the customer needs the servo motor back within a week, the customer requests the repair be expedited. Most of the motors we repair are shipped within 3-5 working days anyway. If parts are needed for the repair, every effort will be made to obtain them as soon as possible. Expedited transportation costs will be added to the cost of the repair.
While RUSH repairs are welcomed, customers with no credit history with Southeast Servo must prepay for estimated RUSH repairs and expedited freight charges by either VISA or MasterCard unless other arrangements can be made.
